We are seeking an experienced HSE Engineer to lead and implement our Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs with a strong emphasis on achieving a zero-injury workplace, ensuring compliance with ISO standards (9001, 14001, and 45001), managing subcontractor safety, and driving an HSE-focused culture across all organizational levels. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and executing safety management plans, conducting audits, and promoting a culture of safety excellence aligned with organizational and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Achieve Zero LTI and Safe Working Environment Compliance
- Conduct monthly safety audits, including office, management, and equipment inspections.
- Manage emergency response drills and preventive maintenance audits.
- Maintain real-time dashboards to track incidents and publish monthly safety insights.
- Ensure PPE availability, conduct fire safety and first-aid inspections, and manage initial incident investigations.
2. Ensure 100% Compliance with Subcontractor Management Safety Standards
- Complete contractor QHSE pre-qualifications and maintain an approved contractors list.
- Conduct thorough subcontractor safety training and competency assessments before project initiation.
- Lead contractor HSE audits, JSA reviews, and post-project evaluations to improve subcontractor performance.
3. Enhance HSE Competence Among Employees
- Conduct a comprehensive Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and develop tailored training plans.
- Develop and deliver safety training modules on various HSE topics, including electrical and scaffolding safety.
- Implement digital tracking tools for training compliance and maintain records on Zoho.
4. Foster an HSE-Centric Culture
- Develop and execute an annual HSE campaign, including monthly safety talks and international HSE observances.
- Implement BBS initiatives to promote safe behavior.
- Provide monthly HSE performance reports across the organization to highlight key metrics and areas for improvement.
5. Project Safety Management
- Review and approve project HSE plans, JHAs, and MS documents.
- Develop real-time project HSE dashboards, prepare audit plans and execute.
- Conduct hazard hunts, safety meetings, and compliance checks with client HSE requirements for each project.
6. Maintain ISO Certification Compliance
- Oversee external and internal audits for ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 certifications.
- Update risk and opportunity studies based on audit observations and manage document changes on the Zoho platform.
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 Years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree Environmental Science/Engineering/ Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- NEBOSH IGC and IOSH
- Lead Auditor ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001
- Proven experience in HSE management, safety auditing, and project safety for manufacturing or similar industries.
- Strong understanding of subcontractor management, emergency response planning, and safety training.
- Proficient in digital tools for incident tracking, safety auditing, and employee training management.
