As a Testing & Comissioning Engineer at Avanceon, your responsibilities will entail,
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure the reliability and functionality of automation systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues, optimize system performance and minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular system maintenance, including upgrades, backups, and configuration activities.
- Provide training and support to operations teams on the proper use and maintenance of automation systems
- Document all processes, configurations, and changes related to automation systems.
- Preparation of progress and root cause analysis reports.
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering, Automation, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years working in the field of automation as PLC/RTU Programmer and commissioning preferably on Water and Wastewater projects.
- Experience in working with various PLC platforms and RTUs like Schneider M580, Rockwell Control & Compact Logix, Siemens S7-300, S7-400, S7-1500 and TBOX RTU.
- Experience in working with open communication protocols used in automation like Modbus Serial, Modbus RTU BACnet MSTP, OPC, MQQT, DNP3 etc.
- Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA.
- Experience with automation software and tools, such as ControlExpert, Twinsoft Suite, Siemens TIA Portal, Allen-Bradley RSLogix.
- Familiarity with electrical systems, as well as control systems and instrumentation.
- Ability to read documents and drawings related to control systems i.e., P&IDs, layouts, Control Panel Drawings and able to troubleshoot wiring issues.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Preference for Qatar Resident Visa and driving Licence.
