A. Role Summary
As a Senior Design & Proposal Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support in the design, development, and proposal of systems. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure successful project execution while meeting customer requirements, industry standards, and company objectives.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Creating innovative design solutions and preparing technical proposals.
- Reviewing all proposals within your scope to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Overseeing the timely and proper submission of techno-commercial proposals.
- Mentoring and training your team to enhance their technical and commercial proficiency.
B. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and review RFQs for technical and commercial requirements, proposing turnkey solutions (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Process Automation).
- Ensure compliance with business policies, ethical standards, and legal regulations.
- Execute international bids and proposals while minimizing associated risks.
- Provide technical and commercial pre-sales support to achieve strategic targets.
- Collaborate with international teams to drive customer-centric solutions and manage daily departmental operations.
- Support sales effectiveness by integrating systems and tools for better performance.
- Align with internal stakeholders and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Strategize effectively during the pre-sales cycle to mitigate risks.
- Work closely with global OEMs to track CAPEX programs and ensure user specifications are met.
- Lead the development of detailed CAPEX and sales plans for automation solutions and services.
- Analyze key accounts, develop penetration strategies, and execute tactics to increase market share.
- Diagnose and resolve customer challenges while delivering validated value propositions.
- Understand contractual terms and negotiate effectively with customers.
- Lead the team in developing optimal solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Address team challenges and ensure the timely submission of proposals.
- Train new team members on existing solutions and keep the entire team updated on market innovations.
C. Experience and Educational Requirements
- Degree in Process, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in relevant fields.
- Expertise in:
- Hydraulic component selection, instrument tubes, and fittings.
- Chemical injection skids and wellhead control systems.
- Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of AUTOCAD/3D Modeling (preferred).
- Strong understanding of oil and gas industry standards.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting P&ID diagrams.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent oral and written communication in English.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
