Job Description:

As the Technical Lead, you will play a pivotal role in the successful execution of our international project. You will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of complex control and automation systems. Your expertise will guide the team through challenges, ensure project milestones are met, and drive technical excellence.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of talented engineers and technical experts to design, develop, and implement state-of-the-art control and automation solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project goals, scope, and deliverables.
  • Provide technical direction and mentorship to team members, fostering skill development and growth.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and partners to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Design, configuration, integration and implementation of process control solutions for various industries.
  • Conduct regular reviews, assessments, and quality checks to ensure system integrity and performance.
  • Develop and maintain automation project timelines, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Develop P&IDs and loop descriptions for various plants, processes, and/or equipment.
  • Develop User Requirement Specifications.
  • Develop software and hardware design specifications.
  • Design, write, implement, test and document PLC, DCS and HMI software.
  • Develop control system validation/testing protocols.
  • Specify and purchase process instrumentation.
  • Specify and purchase PLCs, DCSs, drives, and other electrical components and equipment.
  • Develop electrical and control panel schematics.
  • Develop scope of supply documents.
  • Assist with estimates of man-hours required to complete projects.
  • Install, test, and start-up control systems on-site.
  • Train operators and engineers on control systems.

Qualifications:

  • B.E (Electrical/Electronics/ Mechatronics) from a recognized institute.
  • Minimum of 7 – 8 years of practical experience working as Automation Engineer/Lead Engineer delivering to Process Control System requirements.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse technical team.
  • Experience of implementing automation/electrical solutions and writing software code.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication with English speaking skills and the ability to generate strong and lasting relationships with customers.
  • Good knowledge of process control automation system (DCS/PLC/SCADA/Field Instrumentation) functions and applications.
  • Good computer skills and with an ability to understand automation and engineering technologies.

The ideal candidate must have knowledge of process manufacturing, field instrumentation, control system installation and implementation expertise in all of the following project phases: Requirements documentation, detailed design generation, implementation, system integration, testing and on-site startup. Plans and coordinates technical design and engineering implementation of project work.
