Job Description: Technical Manager – SCADA, PLC, Instrumentation

We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager with 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in SCADA, PLC, Instrumentation, and a broad range of industrial automation technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the technical operations involving control systems, instrumentation, and various communication protocols across multiple platforms. This role is critical for ensuring the seamless integration and operation of industrial automation systems in alignment with industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage technical projects related to SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems, ensuring the efficient operation of control systems across industrial plants.

- Oversee the implementation, programming, and troubleshooting of PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) from platforms such as Rockwell and Siemens.

- Ensure the effective deployment and maintenance of Instrumentation systems, including process analyzers, field instruments, and sensors.

- Supervise and troubleshoot issues related to DCS (Distributed Control Systems) and ensure efficient plant operations.

- Manage the integration of OPC (Open Platform Communications) systems, including OPC DA and OPC UA, ensuring data is collected and shared across platforms seamlessly.

- Coordinate the installation and operation of electrical works, including low voltage MCC (Motor Control Centers) and VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives).

- Design and implement communication networks using multiple protocols such as Modbus, Profinet, and Ethernet/IP, ensuring reliable and secure communication between devices.

- Lead the development and integration of automation platforms including Rockwell, Siemens, and Wonderware systems, to ensure comprehensive control and monitoring.

- Utilize data analytics tools such as Power BI to visualize and interpret operational data, providing insights for decision-making and process optimization.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of technical projects and align with organizational goals.

Skills and Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.

- 8 to 10 years of experience working with SCADA, PLC, DCS, and Instrumentation in industrial settings.

- Proficiency in programming and configuring PLCs, with hands-on experience in platforms like Rockwell and Siemens.

- Strong knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP.

- Experience with OPC standards (UA, DA) and ensuring data integration across different platforms.

- In-depth understanding of electrical systems including low voltage MCC and VFDs.

- Proven experience in managing technical teams and overseeing project execution.

- Familiarity with industrial data analytics platforms such as Power BI.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex control system issues.
