Job Description:

Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of control systems on-site for Dubai Metro projects. This role will involve working closely with team lead engineer & teams to ensure that Every assigned task performed with the required specifications, safety standards, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execution of Preventive maintenance.
  • Execution of on call Corrective Maintenance.
  • Execution of assigned task e.g task evaluation and execution.
  • Reporting of PM, CM & another assigned task.
  • Execute & Supervise preventive maintenance on the existing installation of control system equipment (PLC, DDC & Field devices etc.) on-site.
  • Ensure that each PM task carried out according to MPT.
  • Perform hands-on commissioning of control systems, including troubleshooting and debugging.
  • Conduct thorough testing of control systems and components, ensuring functionality meets existing logic.
  • Perform calibration of instruments, control panels, and related devices.
  • Document test results and generate reports for approval.
  • Provide troubleshooting and diagnostic support for control system faults.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in control systems engineering or related fields, with experience in site execution and trouble shooting.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Rockwell control systems (PLC) and instrumentation.
  • knowledge of Siemens control systems (DDC, Desigo) and instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of Honeywell control systems (DDC) and instrumentation
  • Familiarity with industrial protocols (e.g., Modbus, BacNet, Profibus, Lon, Control Net, Ethernet/IP).
  • Experience with process control, automation systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and control system drawings.
  • Proficient in using testing and calibration tools and software.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with software tools like AutoCAD or control programming languages (e.g., Ladder Logic, Structured Text, FBD).
  • Certification in control systems, automation, or related technical fields.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions (indoor and outdoor)
